Dad 3D Prints a Prosthetic Arm for His Son. Now He’s Trying to Get FDA Approval!
Because of a birth-related injury, Ben’s son (Sol) suffered from a blood clot that caused him to lose most of his lower left arm.
First he found that his son wouldn’t get a prosthetic until he was at least a year old. Then through a great deal of research, he found that many toddlers abandon their prosthetic early on. Ben believed he could do something about this and founded Ambionics.
With the success of 3D printing his son’s arm, Ben is looking to get FDA approval to help other children get the 3D prosthetics they need.
